Gas Training Courses & Assessments:

CMA1 (Core Meter Assessments -
Limited Scope) Initial and Re-Assessment.

Who is this training course for?

The CMA1 (Core Meter Assessment is required for any operative wishing to carry out gas metering work. In addition,
the operative must hold the relevant pipework and meter element for the work they wish to carry out.

Course Duration:

4 days (1 day training / up skill and 3 days assessment.
Please Note: Training is not a pre-requisite for assessment.

Topic Areas Covered:

? Gas safety Legislation and standards.                      ? Operation and positioning of emergency isolation
                                                                  controls and valves.
? Gas emergency actions and procedures.
                                                             ? Products and characteristics of combustion.
? Installation of pipework and fittings (pipework within
     meter installation and other pipework).                 ? Ventilation (for domestic and non-domestic
? Tightness testing and purging
                                                             ? Chimney Standards.
? Checking and/or setting meter regulators.
                                                             ? Re-establish existing gas supply and re-light
? Unsafe situations, use of emergency notices and                 appliances.
     warning labels.

Training & Assessment methods:

Candidates will be assessed both practically and theoretically throughout the duration of this course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will be awarded Cert-ain certification of ACS Competence for any modules they
undertake enabling them to register with Gas Safe.

Additional Information:

Candidates will need to hold current or pre-requisite qualifications to undertake the ACS assessments. If you are
